Ultimate Kitchen Tools

First on the list are long-handled grilling tongs. Long-handled grilling tongs keep a firm grip on meat and veggies as you turn them on the grill. Not only do they offer extra support as you lift and flip larger pieces of meat, but they also keep your hands a safe distance from the hot grill and flames. In addition, you'll prevent the escape of flavorful juices that results from stabbing food with a fork to lift it from the grill.

Okay, so we all know how annoying it is to wash cookie pans. The crumbs get stuck and you have to scrub and blahh, its not very appealing. Kraft recommends silicone baking mats. You don't have to grease your pans anymore because when you line your pans with these mats, the cookies will just slide right off. Plus, the mats cool down really quickly. Pick some up today at your local kitchen and department stores!

I dont know about you, but I cant tell you how many times I burned my hands because of lame pot holders that offer barely any heat protection. If you have the same problem, the solution is silicone pot holders. These pot holders offer heat protection up to 675 degrees fahrenheit. Yes, that's right. SIX HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DEGREES! The dots on the pot holders make them slip-proof, so don't worry about losing control of a pan. Silicone pot holders are super flexible for easy gripping and come in a bunch of pretty colors :)

Is it a spoon? No. Is it a spatula? No. Its both, its a SPOONTULA! You must invest in one of these. Spoontulas are rubbery spoon-like spatulas that let you scoop and scrape down the sides of pots and pans. They are especially great for making batters, so you can be sure that last bit of goodness at the bottom of the bowl doesn't go to waste.

I use lemon juice mostly in hummus. Using the lemon juice is easy, getting it out of the lemon is the hard part. That's why I invested in a lemon reamer. It is super handy! Just slice a lemon in half and use the pointy end of the reamer to pierce the fruit and extract all of that delicious juice. It easily juices limes or oranges too.

*One medium lemon yields about 3 tablespoons. Bring lemons to room temperature to get the most juice.
