It's times like these where I feel sliiightly guilty (but mostly pretty stinkin proud) for pulling off something so awesome that is nowhere near as difficult as it looks.
I'm Bianca from Sweet Dreaming, where I like to find a happy medium between healthy recipes and indulgent desserts…while doing so with Instagram and my DSLR. Still a work in progress (I tend to get a little instagram-happy).
Speaking of Instagram, these gorgeous cookies got the MOST likes, hands down, of all my holiday baking. And we all know how instagram likes equal self-worth… Anyway. The point is, these gorgeous little babies taste just as good as they look. The best part? They're SOOO deceivingly simple. Like four ingredients and a mixing bowl simple.
Beautiful, crinkly, chewy peanut butter cookies in less than fifteen minutes. And if you don't mind bumping it up to five ingredients, drizzle some dark chocolate over them for the prettiest little things you ever did see (this is not actually optional).
Thanks so much for welcoming me here on Culinary Couture and thank you, Mimi, for having me! :-)
Four-Ingredient Chewy Peanut Butter CookiesYield: 1 dozen small cookies
Ingredients:1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
*dark chocolate for drizzling
Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients except chocolate chips.
Form twelve 1 1/2 inch balls (dough will be very wet and sticky) and place onto an un-greased parchment lined cookie sheet. You don't want to make them too big because they do spread.
Chill the dough (optional)--but something I always, always do to make sure I get chewy cookies!
Bake for 9 minutes. Let the cookies sit on the cookie sheet for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before letting cool on a wire rack.
